PACKAGE A - RECEPTION AND CEREMONY
Act of Congress will provide sound equipment and music for wedding ceremony and up to three hours for the reception.
PACKAGE B - RECEPTION
Act of Congress will provide sound equipment and up to three hours of reception music.
PACKAGE C - CEREMONY
Act of Congress will provide sound equipment and music for wedding ceremony.
(Pricing applies to in-state weddings only. Additional fees may occur if wedding is located outside Birmingham city limits and will vary depending on the travel distance.)

1. Is a sound system provided in my booking rate?
AOC provides a state of the art sound system for all reception bookings. AOC also provides a small sound system for ceremony bookings.
2. Is travel included in my booking rate?
AOC will travel up to a 30 mile radius from Birmingham free of charge. Additional fees will be added beyond the 30 mile radius and a $200 hotel allowance will be added for weddings outside of a 100 mile radius.
3. How far in advance can I book my wedding?
Twelve months in advance is typically as far out as AOC schedules.
4. What if my ceremony is at one location, and my reception is at a separate location?
There is an additional setup fee of $200 if reception is at a separate location from the ceremony.
5. Can I request special reception music to be played on an iPod or MP3 player?
Yes, we ask that specific requests be made one week in advance of the event.
6. Can I request AOC to play a song that is not on their song list?
Yes, for a small fee AOC will arrange and perform your special song.
7. How long does AOC perform at my ceremony/reception?
AOC's standard ceremony package includes 25 minutes of prelude music, followed by seating music for grandmothers, mothers,entrances of the wedding party and bride and recessional.
AOC's standard reception package includes a three hour performance of popular dance and cover songs and originals. We will take a 15 minute break at the end of each hour long set.
8. How do I pay for my booking?
A 50% deposit is required along with booking contract within two weeks of performance agreement. Your date is not confirmed until both the booking contract and deposit is received. The remainder of payment is due upon band's arrival on booking date.
9. What is ceremony/reception attire for AOC?
Black suits are AOC's typical wedding attire, but the band also offers a casual reception look, if requested.
10. What if I have to move/cancel my wedding date?
In the event that the date agreed upon is cancelled by the wedding party, the deposit (50% of total amount) will be forfeited. If the date is moved and AOC does not have a pre-existing booking on the new date, AOC will reschedule at no additional fee. If AOC has a pre-existing booking on the new date, half of the agreed upon payment is forfeited.
11. How can I book AOC for other events?
AOC plays a variety of corporate and private event functions. Just send an email with your contact information and booking date to actofcongress@gmail.com.
12. How long does AOC need to set up for my ceremony/reception?
Depending on the location, generally AOC asks for thirty minutes of ceremony setup and an hour and a half of reception setup.
13. What stage needs does AOC have from me?
AOC needs at least an 8x10 stage and a grounded source of power from two separate breakers within reasonable distance from the stage or location of performance. AOC also needs a clear accessible loading and unloading point close to the stage.
14. What if inclement weather occurs and my ceremony/reception is outside?
Due to the delicate nature of AOC's instruments and equipment, the band will not perform/setup in inclement weather. The purchaser will need to have an alternate indoor location for the band to set up and perform. A decision must be made three hours before the event in order to allow AOC adequate time to set up.
